April 2016 was the date I started consolidating the majority of my capital from stodgy brokerages with zilch capabilities in portfolio performance reporting, into a freshly created Interactive Brokers (“IB”) brokerage account.
The reasons for doing so were IB’s rock-bottom trading commissions (which meant higher returns for me) and more critically, the ability to easily track my portfolio’s performance with IB’s technologically superior brokerage platform.
